Sanded to 320, oiled with mineral oil and beeswax, then left alone. No varnish, nothing that can chip into your food.

The wood
The woods I keep milled and ready. Everything in the designer is stock I actually have.
Black Walnut
Chocolate heartwood, pale sapwood if you want the contrast.
Curly Maple
Pale and dense, with figure that moves as you turn it.
Cherry
Warm red accent stripe that deepens with age.
Walnut Sapwood
The pale outer band of the same tree — contrast with no second species.

The boards come off the same slabs as the tables. Commissions run 10–14 weeks, from $2,800, delivered anywhere in Texas.
